GGS currently has three versions of GasClam®: A bulk gas version which monitors methane, carbon dioxide and oxygen; a trace gas version which also includes sensors for hydrogen sulphide, carbon monoxide and total volatile organic compounds; and a specialized instrument that can monitor methane and carbon dioxide between 0 – 5%v/v at a high resolution of 0.05% in addition to the other gases. All versions record atmospheric pressure, borehole pressure and temperature as standard.
Should your site be influenced by water level changes (e.g. tidal or flooding), GGS also provides water level logging alongside the high frequency ground gas data if required.
GasClam® detects ground-gases at high frequency to aid in contaminated land risk assessment. It is designed to seal into a standard 50mm borehole, where it will undertake un-manned data collection.
GGS uses GasClam® to detect gases and vapours in indoor air, to assist in vapour intrusion risk assessment.
GGS is also experienced in using GasClam® to continuously monitor subfloor void space, by installing the instrument within a secure box bolted to a building wall. GGS recommends the use of their high resolution GasClam®s for this purpose.
Use multiple GasClam® units to contemporaneously monitor different locations with a transect approach. GGS has the knowledge and experience to recommend specific monitoring methodologies on a site by site basis. Contact us for more information.
